August 7th - Adventure is not over ! Problem also (Welcome to Slovenia)

Today is our last day in Croatia ! We have to leave the Peninsula and ride north until Slovenia. We made a nice route on the GPS with some beautiful interest points, so we cannot wait to ride in the green and vast Slovenian forest.

But this morning the Benelli is not in good shape. The chain which is making some weird noise since 2 days ago is in bad condition. The traction cogwheel was loosen and damage the chain shaft :(

We found a KTM repair shop in Pula (few km after our camping). The chain needs to be replaced said the KTM mechanic master. Lucky, Yamaha shop is not far and they have one in stock ! But then the shaft and the bolt thread are also damaged. Forget about spare parts as we need to open the engine to change the Shaft. Luckily the guys from KTM figured out to make a new thread manually and make a tailor made bolt.

The Benelli is ready again after few hours and it cost me only 40Euro! Its a provisory solution, so hopefully it can stands until final destination.

Our Slovenian plan is still on and we hit the road around 5pm. To make it quicker, we used Highway until Slovenia. 

Slovenia which is belonging to Europe is easier...The border was quick and we can use our Euro and credit card (more convenient). We had to buy an European insurance for our bikes in the order to ride legally but all went smooth !

The rest of the day was awesome. We are in the nature ! The roads in Slovenia are just amazing and great for bikers.

Our first stop was in Predjama caste. Its a renaissance castle built within a cave mouth.

Predjama castle was used as the castle featured in the 1986 movie `Armour of God` by Golden Harvest starring Jackie Chan.

Later, we were on the road again toward Bled lake, a beautiful idillic town. We reached destination around 8pm. Went for diner and set up our camping gears ! The day was long and not easy (especially this morning) but at the end of the day, we are happy to be here !
