Back at the motorbike shop this morning, we were tell the spare part for the Kawasaki is coming by boat from Corfu (the Greek island in front of us). The boat will arrive at 7pm. We have a full day ahead. Lets ride around...Nicolas rented a Piaggio and we hit the road. Direction Gjirokaster castle. Nicolas new toy`s is great in straight line and can maintain a good 90km/h but as soon as its climbing and curly then no more powaaaa...Anyway we made it to the castle 60km later without problem.
Gjirokaster is a town lying in the historical region of Epirus. Its old town is inscribed on the World Heritage List. Its a rare example of well preserved town built by farmers. The Gjirokaster castle dominates the town and overlooks the strategically important route along the river valley.
On our way back, we stopped again at the Blue eyes Spring for few water jump and head back to the garage waiting 7pm to fix the Kawa and ride until Shoker.
