May 29th - Dushanbe party ! NiCo Happy Birthday

 Voila ! We are in Dushanbe, capital of Tajikistan. Happy to be back into civilization, shower, food and Internet....I am very sorry for the lack of news and blog update but no surfing on the Pamir...

Today is a special day because its Nico Birthday and it cannot be better timing...at the end of the Pamir Highway...What a reward !!!

So we will stay in Dushanbe at least for a week ! Our Uzbek visa start on June 10th (yeah we are in advance on the planning). Nico is waiting for spare part from France (cooling system closing part) and i have to fix the Benelli...

Funny things, we are meeting lots of bikers here and they all stay in the Green house hostel...Great, we will change some tricks on the road and share our Pamir Experience.

Paul and Lee, the Australian couple on KTM we met in Turpan (Xinjiang) is also here, we catch them up (ok we cheated half of the Pamir but still an achievement for our road bikes haha). You can check their world trip on http://bikesnbeers.com.au

So tonight we will relax, drink and party to celebrate the end of the Pamir and NiCo Birthday !

But before tonight, let me tell you how did we spend the day ;

Marc, my lao pengyou (friend) who used to live in SH is now the GM of the centre culturel Francais of Dushanbe and we are here to see him...

Marc kindly help us to received our luggages shipped from Murghab and our spare parts for the bikes, so we went to his office. The president was waiting for us in his big office on the 3rd floor of the building....hahhaha sacre Marc, proud of you bro !

Lets party tonight and talk, we have a lot to catch up...

End of afternoon, we went to meet Boris, the motorbike guy in Dushanbe and the only one... Boris is a very cool local guy and just started his shop/club this year, so they are pretty small and without much equipment but should be ok for what we have to do on the bike.

Anyway we are here for 1 week, so no rush, relax first and take care of the bike later.

Tadjikistan is not a motorbike country so spare parts, tires, oil are not easy to get. Boris has some connection in Uzbekistan and in case he does not have enough oil, we will do our maintenance in Samarkand.

Time to get back to the guest house, take a shower and will go to meet Marc for diner and more Vodka shots later :)
